A new project from Maceo Frost & Robin Nazari
What do you get when you combine Maceo Frost's directing with Robin Nazari's kurdish music? The answer is "Biji".
The project was shot during 2022 when the duo went on multiple trips to different parts och Iraq and Iran. All cast was streetcasted and found on place in Iraq and Iran.
"I was constantly humbled by the talented people over there" says Maceo while explaining how some of the cast only had 30 minutes to learn their lines before shooting.
Without giving too much away we can let you know that two shorts will be released. The project is set to release during Spring 2023. Keep your eyes open, we promise you don't want to miss this one...
