Bjarke Underbjerg is an award-winning director and filmmaker specialised in weaving strong narratives together with delicate nuances and stunning visuals. His films are notable for tracing vulnerable characters through the search for a more meaningful life, and he brings a beautiful, delicate, and playful aesthetic to all his work.

Bjarke has written and directed multiple films across the documentary, short film and music video spaces. His debut feature-length documentary, 'Influenza', premiered at CPH:DOX in 2018, while his 2021 short film on Parkinson's disease was shortlisted at Ciclope as well as in multiple categories at the Young Director Awards 2021, and went on to win in the 'True Rising Star' and 'True Director' categories at that year's True Awards. More recently, Bjarke was nominated for Shots EMEA Best New Director of the Year 2021.

Educated in film, philosophy, and journalism, as well as teaching film at the University of Copenhagen, Bjarke is exceptionally observant and brings a deep understanding of the inner workings of storytelling to each project. Recent projects include a delicate music video for George Cosby, set and shot in Italy, as well as commercials for Nordea and Toms.
